Visitor Information
Visitor Guidance
At St Mary’s Kenmure, the safety and wellbeing of our children, staff, and visitors is our top priority. To ensure a secure and welcoming environment, we have implemented the following procedures for all visiting professionals and guests:
Pre-Arranged Visits
- All visits must be agreed in advance with the relevant staff member or department.
- Unplanned or unannounced visits will not be permitted unless the visitor has a legal right of entry (e.g. statutory services).
- This helps us maintain a safe, structured, and respectful environment for everyone on site.
Identification Requirements
- All visitors must present photographic ID (e.g. passport, driver’s license, or government-issued ID) upon arrival.
- We can securely store a copy of your ID to streamline future visits.
Security Screening
- All visitors will undergo a brief wand search using a handheld metal detector.
- This is a non-intrusive process to help maintain a safe environment.
Prohibited Items
To protect everyone on site, the following items must not be brought onto campus:
- Glass or metal objects (e.g. bottles, mirrors, tools)
- Items containing compressed gases or solvents (e.g. aerosols, glue)
- Fireworks, lighters, matches
- Toiletries and confectionery (these are provided by the centre)
- Alcohol, tobacco, vaping products
- Non-prescribed or illicit drugs
- Electronic devices (unless approved in advance)
- Inappropriate media (e.g. violent or age-inappropriate content)
Electronic Devices
Mobile phones, laptops, tablets, and USB drives are not permitted unless prior approval has been granted by the Duty Manager.
Arrival Procedure
- Please report to the Control Room on arrival.
- Our team will check your ID, confirm the purpose of your visit, and log your entry.
