Tahir Yousaf is a technology leader and senior executive with over a decade of experience driving digital transformation and innovation across complex organisations. Currently serving as Group Director of IT for the prestigious Gleneagles and Estelle Brands within the Ennismore hotel group, Tahir leads strategic initiatives aimed at redefining luxury guest experiences through advanced digital solutions, cybersecurity, and compliance excellence.

 

Prior to this role, Tahir spent a decade leading technology and digital strategies in Higher Education. He was the Director of IT at Glasgow Caledonian University, where he was instrumental in delivering digital strategies that significantly enhanced student outcomes and institutional effectiveness. His extensive leadership experience also includes impactful roles at Heriot-Watt University and Birmingham City University, where he managed large-scale digital transformations and pioneered sector-leading adoption of cloud-based technologies.

 

Tahir is deeply committed to creating opportunities and delivering meaningful change for young people. Having experienced family disruption at an early age, he brings a personal understanding of the importance of safe, supportive environments that allow young people to thrive. His decision to join the board of St Mary’s Kenmure is driven by a heartfelt belief in the power of second chances and the vital role that community-based care and justice can play in transforming lives.

 

As a trustee, Tahir brings a wealth of strategic leadership and digital innovation expertise, underpinned by a values-led approach. He is passionate about supporting the mission of St Mary’s Kenmure and contributing to its continued impact in building brighter futures for young people across Scotland.
